Nike Say No More... Nike and Amazon Split Will Help 3rd Party Sellers

This just in... "Nike, one of the most searched brands on Amazon, will stop selling its products directly on Amazon, ending a pilot program that began in 2017. To avoid losing the Nike assortment, Amazon has been recruiting third-party sellers with Nike products so that the merchandise is still available on the site."

Now many of you might read this and think, "wow, that's huge news." This rather misses the biggest point that I want to draw your attention to...

AMAZON IS RECRUITING THIRD PARTY SELLERS, LIKE YOU, TO SELL ONE OF THE BIGGEST AND MOST POPULAR BRANDS (IF NOT THE BIGGEST) FOR THEM!!!

This is a big deal, especially for those of you who thought that it was impossible to sell Nike, or that selling a brand like that is a saturated market. Nike had one of the largest markets on Amazon before this split, almost all of which were sold to amazon directly from the company.

"Searches for “Nike shoes men” already return over 10,000 products, only 335 of which are sold by Amazon (and thus sold by Nike directly), and out of 1,000 results for “Nike socks,” only 135 are sold by Amazon." These types of numbers allow for a gigantic marketplace that Amazon is offering up on a plate for those 3rd party sellers that get get their hands on the proper merchandise.
